DeGeneres and De Rossi lived in California, where they also experienced severe flooding before they moved.
The pair, who have been married since 2008, have put their expensive Montecito, California mansion up for sale and decided to start a new life abroad, with no plans to return to the US. The well-known comedian celebrated 15 years of marriage with Portia de Rossi a few months ago.
