Rap artist Wiz Khalifa's home has been the target of a burglary while he was away on tour.
The rapper revealed that three burglars tried to rob his home while he was on stage performing in Clarkston, Michigan as part of his tour with Snoop Dogg.
"3 obscene masks tried to run into my house while I was on stage," he wrote, referring to the attempted burglary at his home.
Wiz didn't provide more details about the attempted home burglary, so it's unclear if the perpetrators made off with any of his belongings.
However, there seems to be an increase in the use of masked robbery which was introduced into the trend by rap artist Pooh Shiesty. Philadelphia issued an order in May banning "Masks" from buses, trains and SEPTA (Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority) stations.
The order came after a 15-year-old student was killed on a SEPTA bus by a person wearing one of the masks.
"Masks are a problem. I'll be completely honest with you," said Transit Police Chief Charles Lawson.
“These full head coverings are a big problem because we're seeing them routinely used in 80-degree weather in Philadelphia. There is no legitimate reason, in the face of the pandemic, to wear a full head covering in public for anything," he added.
