But what caught the attention of his fans, was who had liked the new photo. Followers saw that Gigi was among the people who liked the image of the artist.
It comes after Gigi showed off her tattoo while wearing a bikini while on holiday earlier this month.
The appearance of Gigi's tattoo comes after reports that she was arrested for possession of marijuana while entering the Cayman Islands earlier this month.
The marijuana was determined to be "for personal use only" - but Hadid and McCarthy were arrested on charges of "suspicion of importing the drug and importing utensils used for its consumption."
The latest move in their relationship suggests that Gigi and Zayn, who are parents to their daughter Khai, are on good terms following their split.
