Albanian sport achieves another great success.
Boxer Ahmed Koçi qualified for the final of the U-16 European Championship, being a contender for the maximum triumph on the continent.
The red-and-black athlete deservedly won the semi-final against his rival Tarik Kunovac from Bosnia-Herzegovina and secured at least the silver medal in the championship taking place in Ploesti, Romania.
This was his third victory and shows the high class and very good preparation he has done for this European.
In the quarterfinals, the 16-year-old boxer secured at least the bronze medal for our country.
This, because Koçi defeated the German boxer, of Albanian origin, Festim Nimani, dominating and winning with the result 5-0, after the unanimous assessment of all the judges.
His coach, Artur Koçi, declares that on July 30, the final for the weight up to 70 kilograms will be played against a strong English opponent.
It is worth noting that Ahmed Koçi has so far repeated the success of Amar Koçi who last year reached the final of the U-16 European Championship, but unfortunately he was defeated by the opponent from Georgia and was forced to settle for the bronze medal.
