A C-130 aircraft is on full alert at the Elefsina air base, which, if requested, is expected to undertake the transport of injured PAOK fans from Romania to Greece.
We recall that yesterday at noon, seven PAOK fans lost their lives and three others were injured in an extremely shocking car accident in Romania during their trip from Greece to Lyon, France, where they were going to enjoy the match with their favorite team.
There were ten people in the van, two of Albanian nationality, but with Greek citizenship. The Albanian Foreign Ministry has confirmed that Vasil Palo is one of the victims, while the other Albanian, G. Sadiku, is injured, but out of danger to his life.
The serious incident occurred during the fans' trip to Lyon, France, where PAOK will play a valuable match for the Europa League groups.
According to authorities, the van transporting the fans collided head-on with a truck after attempting to overtake.
A video released by a vehicle's dashcam shows the dramatic moment when the van veers off the lane and collides with the truck.
The collision proved fatal for seven fans, while the truck driver was seriously injured.
