Spanish state prosecutors have charged Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti with alleged tax fraud, claiming he hid part of his income during the 2014-2015 period when he was coach of Los Blancos.
Prosecutors said in a statement Wednesday that the technician is being charged with two counts of tax fraud that will carry a prison sentence of four years and nine months. It is suspected that the Italian hid 1 million euros during the period 2014-2015.
Prosecutors claim that during that period the Italian only declared the income he received from Real Madrid and did not declare income from image rights. Ancelotti, 64, coached Real from 2013-2015 before joining the club in 2021.
