Armando Broja returned a year ago from a serious injury that kept him out of action for several months. The striker of the Albanian National Team, who celebrated his 23rd birthday on Top Channel, talked about how he overcame this injury.
Invited to the show "Hippokrati", Broja showed that thanks to the help of his relatives and his intention to return to the field as soon as possible, they played a key role in putting the injury behind him.
" Within a year we have had positive days. For each month I had my goal. And so the months passed faster with the aim of returning to the field. I tell people that there are better days ahead, you don't have to get upset right away because you have to have a positive mindset. If you get bored quickly, it makes you worse.
I had everyone by my side, my mother, father, sisters, cousins, friends, Albanian fans because they sent me very beautiful messages when I was injured. And the Chelsea club helped me a lot, the doctors because they worked with me every day. I thank everyone for keeping me positive and happy.
The fans of the Albanian national team are even closer to the heart. They support you more than in England. I was very pleased when they sent me messages on social networks. When you read them, they give you a good feeling, they give you strength. You will come back for them. When I read them I wanted to go back for them. I really like wearing the national team jersey and I can't wait to get back on the field.
When I had minor injuries, my father said he would help me and put olive oil on me or something like that (laughs). I don't know about onion and salt, but maybe yes.
23rd birthday in Albania? I am very happy because for the first time I am celebrating here. It's a special day for me. I am a year older, a year more mature, more mature, more confident. I have my family with me.
You have to stay positive. Keeping people close to helping you. They give you strength. You always have to look ahead. You won't be injured for long. That thing passes. We have an expression in England, that the storm does not always last and the sun will come out again ", said Broja.
At the end of the show, Broja received a special surprise, who blew out the candles on his birthday, with a cake in the shape of a soccer ball that came to him in the studio.
