The current coach of PSG, Christophe Galtier and his son John Valovic-Galtier have been placed in custody in Nice, this after accusations of racism and indecent behavior when the technician was part of the Nice football club.
This Friday morning, starting at 8:45, the coach was interrogated and placed in custody, according to "NiceMatin". The news was also confirmed by the public prosecutor in Nice.
The former Nice coach and his son were summoned by Nice's judicial police, which is investigating alleged facts of "discrimination at work based on the affiliation of an alleged race or religion".
The Galtier case erupted following revelations by freelance journalist Romain Molina and RMC. Racist remarks against some players were attributed to Christophe Galtier when he was in charge of the Nice team, notably through e-mails sent to the sporting director at the time, Julien Fournier.
The public prosecutor of Nice, Xavier Bonhomme, immediately took over the case and launched an investigation. PSG is expected to fire the coach and will appoint Luis Enrique in his place.
