According to AFP, Kylian Mbape has rejected a recommendation from Ligue 1's legal committee to take part in mediation with PSG to resolve their ongoing dispute over unpaid wages and bonuses.
The Real player had contacted the LFP's legal committee on August 8 to help resolve his conflict with his former club. Mbape accuses PSG of not paying him around 55 million euros in wages and bonuses.
The French club reject Mbappe's argument as they state that the striker agreed to give up some of his earnings if he left the club as a free agent - as he did in the summer when he decided to leave PSG at the end of his contract by signing as a Real Madrid player.
The agreement – although it was never put in writing – was publicly referred to by Mbappe, who stated in January, " With the agreement I made with the president this summer, regardless of my decision, (at the end of the 2023-2024 campaign) we have reached to protect all parties, to keep calm in the club for the upcoming challenges - that's the most important thing ."
Earlier today, PSG welcomed the recommendation made by the LFP, announcing that they had been trying "for many months" to set up a mediation with their former player.
