The future champion of Albania will start its European journey from the first qualifying round of the Champions League. Whichever team is declared champion between Vllaznia, Elbasan, Egnatia or Dinamo, will be positioned in the pot of unfavored teams during the draw.
However, even though the Albanian team will be considered "weak" at this stage, the possibilities of ensuring a positive performance in Europe remain real. Passing the first round would pave the way for the Albanian team towards a minimum objective: securing the "play-off" phase of the Conference League.
The list of favorite teams for this stage is gradually being filled and so far 13 teams have been confirmed to be in the favorite pot. Meanwhile, it still remains to be determined whether New Saints of Wales or the champion of Armenia will also be included in this group.
In Armenia, Ararat-Armenia is very close to winning the championship title and only formalities seem to separate them from the crown. If this scenario is confirmed, then New Saints would become one of the possible opponents for the Albanian champion in the first round draw.
Of the teams rumored to be favorites, only a few are considered very difficult opponents due to their financial level and high market valuations. This category includes Craiova, Kairati and Riga, which are considered "short hell" for the Albanian team.
