FC Goa and Albanian striker Armando Sadiku have mutually agreed to part ways ahead of the Super Cup match, scheduled to be held on April 20 in Bhubaneswar, the Indian Super League (ISL) club announced on Monday.
Sadiq, who joined FC Goa last summer, scored 10 goals and provided two assists during the season. He played a key role in helping the team finish second in the league stage and reach the play-off semi-finals.
He also found the net in the second leg of the semi-final against Bengaluru FC on April 6, although Goa were eliminated.
After a blistering start to the season - scoring eight goals in his first seven games - Sadiku struggled for form, managing just two goals in his next 17 appearances. His playing time also declined significantly, with just six starts in his final 15 outings.
FC Goa will face I-League side Gokulam Kerala in their round of 16 match on April 21.
