The London derby between Chelsea and Arsenal ended in a 1-1 draw. Both teams took one point each, in a match that was accompanied by controversy and occasional clashes between players from both teams.
The first half started with high intensity, with both teams creating scoring chances, but neither of them managed to convert them into goals. The highlight of the first half came in the 38th minute, when Caicedo made a dangerous tackle on Merino and received a red card, leaving the team with 10 men.
The second half would start with Chelsea more demanding, although with 1 player less, the London Blues managed to take the advantage in the 48th minute, through Chalobahs who turned a James cross from the corner into the goal and made the score 1-0.
As the minutes ticked by, Arsenal, in numerical superiority, would find the equalizer in the 56th minute through Merino, who would equalize the scores 1-1 with a header, after a perfect cross into the area from Saka.
In the remaining minutes, both teams would try to score the winning goal, but to no avail. The match ended in a 1-1 draw with both teams taking one point each.
With this result, Chelsea is in third place with 24 points, while Arsenal is at the top of the table with 30 points.
