Inter achieved an important victory today in the championship and ended Pisa's six-match unbeaten streak, in a difficult encounter at the Arena Garibaldi.
Looking to secure back-to-back home wins in Serie A, Pisa showed plenty of work in their attacking efforts during the first half, but a lack of quality prevented them from converting. However, the 'ziccarti' looked equally weak in attack in the first half which ended 0-0.
After a goalless first half, the home side continued to push for the first goal after the restart and had the best chance, as M'Bala Nzola raced towards goal but failed to land the ball properly and ended up shooting wide.
This missed opportunity would be punished in the 69th minute, Lautaro Martínez would score a goal that would leave Simone Scuffet without any chance of reaction.
Martinez scored again in the 83rd minute, turning in Nicolò Barella's cross, with the match ending 0-2.
With this victory, Inter is currently in 3rd place with 27 points, while Pisa is in 18th place with 10 points.
