Valon Berisha will continue his career in the Swiss Super League. The Kosovo midfielder left LASK in Austria and signed with Zurich until the end of the current season.
The Swiss club formalized the five-month deal, valid until the summer. This transfer marks the first time Berisha plays in the Swiss championship, after a career built mainly in Norway, Austria, Italy, Germany, France and Australia.
Berisha began his professional career in Norway with Egersund and then Viking. His performances with Viking paved the way for a transfer to Red Bull Salzburg, where he won Austrian championship titles and played in European competitions.
In 2018, he moved to Lazio in Serie A. He then played for Fortuna Düsseldorf in the Bundesliga, Reims in Ligue 1 and Melbourne City in Australia. He spent his final season with LASK in Austria, before terminating his contract and accepting Zurich's offer.
With this move, Berisha aims to end the season in a new championship and add another experience to a career that includes several European leagues.
