The UEFA Executive Committee met today in Nyon, Switzerland to consider important issues related to the development of European football, but also to format and select the composition of the new commissions and panels of the European football government.

This meeting was also attended by the President of the AFL, Armand Duka, who was re-elected for a second term as a member of the UEFA Executive Committee after the elections held in April, receiving more votes than any other candidate.

Once again, UEFA has shown the great confidence it has in the AFL, by electing some of the Federation's top leaders and representatives to the special bodies.

During the meeting, President Duka was reconfirmed in the position of Vice-Chairman of the HatTrick Committee, one of the most important bodies in the governance of European football, as well as being elected as a member of the UEFA Media Commission, while the General Secretary of the AFL , Ilir Shulku has been elected as a member of the UEFA Football Commission.

Other representatives of the AFL and Albanian football will also be part of the UEFA commissions. Thus, EC member Anila Basha has been elected as a member of the Commission for Women's Football, while the other member of the FLF EC, Envi Hicka, will be a member of the UEFA Legal Commission.

Even the Technical Director of the AFL, Fulvio Pea, has been elected a member of the UEFA Development and Technical Assistance Committee. The Director of Education in the AFL, Sulejman Starova, has been selected as a member of the Jira Panel, while the Head of Children's Football in the AFL, Andi Zëre, has been selected as a member of the Grassroots Football Panel.

The Director of the Arbitration Sector, Sokol Jareci, has been selected as a member of the Panel of the Convention of Arbitrators and, finally, Gazmend Malo will be a member of the UEFA Marketing Advisory Committee.

Meanwhile, in this meeting, the UEFA Executive Committee made a number of other decisions. Lisbon's José Alvalade Stadium has been set to host the UEFA Women's Champions League final in 2025.

The Agia Sofia Stadium in Athens and Wrocław (WKS Śląsk Wrocław) will host the Conference League finals in 2024 and 2025, respectively.

The Executive Committee chose Poland to host the UEFA European Women's Under-19 Championship in 2025.
