The daughter of KF Tirana footballer Freddy Alvarez tragically passed away this morning in the capital.
The police's initial suspicions are related to the girl falling from the bunk bed, which resulted in serious injuries.
The parents found the girl with signs of life, but in critical condition, and rushed her to the hospital, but even specialized help could not bring the little girl back to life.
KF Tirana is in mourning for this event, while the match against Flamurtari has been postponed to tomorrow at 1:30 PM.
KF Tirana was scheduled to play against Flamurtari today at 13:30, while the Super League match has been postponed to tomorrow (also at 13:30) after an understanding between the two clubs. Costa Rican midfielder Freddy Alvarez joined KF Tirana in the January transfer window, and has played in three matches in the Super League and the Albanian Cup.
The Albanian Football Federation (AFH) officially announces that the KF Tirana-Flamurtari match will not be played today as scheduled, but tomorrow at 1:30 PM at the "Selman Stërmasi" stadium.
"The Albanian Football Federation expresses its most sincere condolences to KF Tirana player Freddy Alvarez and his family, following the tragic loss of his daughter.
"As a sign of respect and solidarity in this difficult moment, and in agreement with KF Tirana and KF Flamurtari, the Albanian Football Federation announces that the Tirana-Flamurtari match, scheduled to take place today at 13:30 at the "Selman Stërmasi" stadium, has been postponed. The match will be played tomorrow, at the same time, 13:30, at the "Selman Stërmasi" stadium. The Albanian Football Federation stands by Freddy Alvarez, his family and KF Tirana in this moment of mourning," the FSHF announced.
