Bukayo Saka has sent a message to former Arsenal team-mate Granit Xhaka after knocking him and his Switzerland team out of Euro 2024.
Saka played a crucial role in England's tense quarter-final victory, responding to Breel Embolo's 75th-minute goal with a quick-fire equalizer and then scoring in the penalty.
Former Arsenal team-mates Saka and Xhaka were seen embracing on the pitch after England progressed to the semi-finals and Switzerland were sent home.
Asked how he felt about the elimination of Xhaka - who won the Bundesliga title during his first season at Bayer Leverkusen after leaving Arsenal last summer, Saka said: 'Graniti has won a lot of trophies this season!
"I think he's a great player, a great person - the humility he showed after the game to come and shake our hands says it all. I am full of respect and admiration for him and Switzerland," he said.
