A serious incident has occurred to Michael Schumacher's former manager, Willy Webber, who was attacked and robbed at his home in Stuttgart.
" I have a black eye and I feel terribly bad. I am still completely shocked ," Weber described his condition to the newspaper "Bild" after the attack at his residence earlier this week.
A serious blow for the 83-year-old, who suffered a heart attack in 2020 and a serious infection two years later. According to the police, the incident occurred last Tuesday, when three masked men entered the villa of Schumacher's former manager early in the morning.
His ex-wife and assistant were also in the house, and all three were attacked and tied up. According to the German tabloid, one of them managed to free himself and call the police, but the perpetrators, three people wearing hoods and dark clothing, have not yet been identified. The thieves made off with hundreds of thousands of euros worth of cash and jewelry, taken from the safes of the Weber family's large four-story villa in Stuttgart.
Webber is considered the discoverer of Michael Schumacher, having approached him in 1989 to compete in the German championship, which Schumacher won a year later in 1990. He then brokered the driver's move to Mercedes for the World Endurance Championship and led him to his Formula 1 debut with Jordan at the Belgian Grand Prix in 1991.
In addition to Michael, Webber has also managed his brother Ralf and Nico Hulkenberg. Outside the world of sports, his management has also included supermodels Naomi Campbell and Claudia Schiffer in the past.
