Klisman Cake debuted with the Albanian National Team on October 14, 2025, thus becoming coach Silvinjo's novelty.
He left Shkëndija in January, to transfer to Akhmat Grozny in Russia. In an interview for the official channel of the Albanian Football Federation, Cake spoke about the year 2025.
"I believe that for me, 2025 was the most perfect year possible, starting with the championship title with Shkëndija, then entering the Conference League groups and then, what was the icing on the cake, the call-up to the National Team where we achieved very big victories and secured the "play off". Then there was also the passage of the group with Shkëndija which ultimately materialized in a strong league such as Russia and undoubtedly the most perfect year of my career.
The differences between Russian football and that in North Macedonia and Albania.
'It's a very nice adventure. It's known that it's a very good team, a big team, plus the level of football in Russia is a very high level and I'm happy to be there at the moment. The level of Russian football is known to be very high, it could be one of the 6 or 8 strongest leagues in Europe and it's more physical. There's a higher pace in Russia than in Albania and Macedonia.
Cake said that the national team has helped him a lot.
It has undoubtedly helped me a lot, because the national team gives you a different status as a player and every player dreams of wearing that jersey and I believe it has helped me a lot.
'Poland-I definitely believe we can go further. We have always dreamed of this moment to be in the World Cup play-offs. It has been the dream of every Albanian all their life, now it has been achieved and it is normal that yes, I believe we can go further.'
