France is the first finalist team of the U-17 European Championship “Albania 2025”. The “Roosters” defeated Belgium in the semi-finals with a score of 3-2 and secured the grand final on June 1.
A very nice match took place at the “Elbasan Arena” stadium. The first half was very hard fought and it was Belgium that created more clear scoring chances.
Two goals were scored at the end of the first half. France took the lead through Abdulaje Kamara in the 42nd minute, while in extra time Belgium equalized through a penalty, which was converted by Noah Fernandez. The first half ended 1-1.
The second half started better for France, who scored two quick goals through Rudi Matondo and Diilian N'Guesan, bringing the score to 3-1.
Belgium re-opened the game in the 79th minute with Axel Wiens scoring a Eurogoal from a free kick. The Belgians fought until the end to equalize, but were unsuccessful. The match ended 3-2 to France.
The second finalist team will be decided later at the “National Arena”. The second semi-final match Italy-Portugal will start at 20:30.
