McLaren was the absolute protagonist in the Miami Grand Prix Sprint Race in Formula 1, securing the first two places with Lando Norris and Oskar Piastri. The shortened 19-lap race on the American track was dictated by the high pace of the British team.
Lando Norris, the reigning world champion, crossed the finish line first, leaving his teammate, Oskar Piastri, behind. This marks Norris' first victory of the season, albeit in the Sprint format.
Charles Leclerc secured third place for Ferrari. The Monegasque driver managed to successfully defend himself in the early stages of the race against pressure from Andrea Chimi Antonelli, maintaining his position until the end.
Antonelli, who currently leads the championship, did not have a good start and was forced to recover during the race. In the end, he was involved in a duel with teammate George Russell for fourth place, managing to win the position.
Max Verstappen was left out of the top five, finishing sixth. The Dutch driver was left behind by seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton.
Also ranked in the top ten of the Sprint Race were Pierre Gasly, Isak Hadjar and Franco Colapinto.
