Athlete Franko Burraj is having an excellent season, as he has scored another very important result, confirming his fantastic form. Shkodrani has made a great appearance at the European Team Championship being held in Maribor, Slovenia.
Burraj has broken the national record in the 400-meter race, to take first place in the Third Category of Europe in this discipline with Albania. Franko Burraj stopped the clock at 45.87, leaving behind his closest rival, Maltese Matthew Galea Soler, by more than a second, while Moldovan Ivan Galusco was classified in third place. Important points for Albania in this competition come from Burraj, who also aims to qualify for the World Championships to be held in September.
We recall that Franko Burraj had broken the national record in the 400-meter race a month earlier during the Albanian Cup, an event that took place in Shkodra. In that race, he set a time of 46:14, while he has now managed to lower it below the 16-second barrier, bringing the chronometer to the result of 45.87. The national record in 400 meters was also one of the main objectives of the 26-year-old athlete, a mission that he managed to accomplish twice within a few weeks.
