
AFF and UNICEF signed today a memorandum of cooperation for the protection and promotion of children's rights through football. The ceremony took place in the premises of the "House of Football" and was attended by the President of the Football Federation, Armand Duka, and the representative of UNICEF in Albania, Mr. Murat Sahin.
Through this memorandum, it is intended to create a safe and supportive environment for children, increase awareness and engage local communities in initiatives that promote children's rights for their protection and development.
The President of the Football Federation, Armand Duka, in his speech pointed out the importance of this cooperation and underlined that through the positive messages that football conveys, it affects the improvement and protection of children.
" I thank Mr. Murat for this cooperation, the signing of this memorandum. For the Football Federation, this is not the first day for this kind of cause, it is the continuation of our permanent work. We have in our objectives the influence through football for the improvement or protection of children, but this is a kind of institutionalization to cooperate together, to give positive messages about the rights of children, about the rights of women and girls and everything that can let's do it together ", said President Duka.
The representative of UNICEF, Murat Sahin, emphasized that this partnership serves to build communities that care for young people and through football, children have the opportunity to unfold their potential.
" Thank you President Duka. It is an honor to sign this partnership agreement between the Albanian Football Federation and UNICEF. For us, sports development is key for every home, youth and community we have visited in Albania and for UNICEF globally. It is important to find and empower them and through the fun of playing football, children reach their potential ", said UNICEF representative, Murat Sahin.
