The Egyptian striker announced his decision to leave the club through an emotional statement to the fans, causing numerous reactions in the football world.
The 33-year-old had signed a two-year contract before the end of last season, but will not respect the remaining year of it, choosing to end his collaboration earlier than expected.
His departure may have been precipitated by tensions with manager Arne Slott, according to reports. The relationship between them was said to have soured after the draw with Leeds United in December, when the player accused the manager of plotting to get him out of the team.
There is still no official confirmation of the striker's future destination. However, British media reports suggest he could move to Saudi club Al Ittihad or continue his career in the United States, in Major League Soccer.

" Mohamed Salah will end his illustrious career with Liverpool FC at the end of the 2025-26 season.
The time to fully celebrate his legacy and achievements will come later in the year, when he says goodbye to Anfield.
The Egyptian striker was introduced to the English club in 2017. Since then, he has become a legend for Liverpool. The 33-year-old has made 435 appearances so far, scoring 255 goals and assisting 122 more .
After confirming his departure at the end of the season, the Egyptian striker's reaction has arrived. Mohamed Salah began his farewell video from Liverpool with these words, shared on his Instagram profile.
" This is the first part of my farewell: I will be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season. I want to start by saying that I never imagined how much this club, this city, these fans, would become a part of my life. Liverpool is not just a football club: it is passion, history, a spirit that cannot be expressed in words to those who are not part of this family. We have celebrated victories, won the most important trophies and experienced some of the most difficult moments of our lives. I want to thank everyone who has been part of this club during my time here.
Especially my teammates, past and present. And to the fans, I can't thank you enough for the support and love you've shown me. I've spent the best moments of my career with you and you've been there for me in the toughest times.
"It's something I will never forget and I will carry with me forever. Leaving is never easy: you have given me the best moments of my life. I will always be with you, this club will always be my home ," Salah wrote.
