Adrian Bajrami has not been included in the list published by the Swiss national team for the matches in March, raising questions about his future in the national team.
The 23-year-old had decided in 2025 to reject an invitation from Albania, in order to change the national team. His move to Switzerland was considered sensational, while he received the first invitation for the matches in October and November. Bajrami debuted on October 13 in the match against Slovenia.
His name is missing from Switzerland's latest squad, which includes two important matches against Germany and Norway. Meanwhile, the squad includes well-known names like Ardon Jashari and Granit Xhaka.
Bajrami's absence from this squad could negatively affect his chances of being part of the team in future international competitions, including the World Cup.
Bajrami currently plays for Lucerne in Switzerland, a club that bought his card from Benfica for around 900,000 euros in January. He is considered an undisputed starter in his team, which makes his absence from the national team even more questionable.
