Osman Dembele is the leading candidate to win the 2025 Ballon d'Or, according to an advanced analysis by French artificial intelligence firm Avisia. Through its model known as the Avisia Player Index, the company has predicted a 72% chance of the PSG striker being declared the winner of this prestigious award.
This algorithm has had an accuracy of over 90% in previous predictions, including the top three of the 2024 Ballon d'Or. Dembele has had an outstanding season with PSG, scoring 33 goals and providing 15 assists in 49 matches. He has helped the club win the Ligue 1 and Champions League titles, contributing to the 5-0 victory over Inter in the final.
PSG coach Luis Enrique has praised his performance, calling him a "true leader" and backing him for the Ballon d'Or. Other prominent players in the running for the award include Lamin Jamal, Vitinja, Mohamed Salah and Rafinja, but Dembele remains the main favorite to win it this year.
