Inter are very close to being crowned champions of Italy for the 21st time in history. With four weeks left in the Serie A season, the black and blue team leads the standings with a significant lead of 10 points over Napoli and 12 points over Milan, making it a matter of time before they mathematically secure the title.

Possible scenarios for declaring champion

Matchday 35 could prove decisive. Napoli face Como on Saturday at 6pm, while Milan travel to Sassuolo on Sunday at 3pm. Inter take to the pitch on Sunday evening at San Siro against Parma (8.45pm).

After a 2-2 draw in Turin, Kristian Kivu's team needs three points to mathematically secure the title. A win over Parma would seal the title, regardless of their rivals' results. Meanwhile, Inter could be crowned champions with a draw if Napoli fail to win their match.

There is also a scenario where the title could be secured before Inter play: if Napoli lose to Como and Milan fail to win against Sassuolo, the Nerazzurri will be declared champions without taking to the field.

Goal: party at San Siro

However, the black and blue camp hopes that the title will be sealed on the pitch, in front of the fans. Inter have not mathematically secured the championship with a home win since the 1988-1989 season, when they were managed by Giovanni Trapattoni.

The challenge against Parma is seen as the ideal moment to crown the season, while the fans have started preparations for the celebration. The official parade with the team bus is expected to take place after the final match at the “San Siro”, against Verona on May 17.

Bonuses and plans for the future

According to Italian media reports, the Oaktree ownership has foreseen a bonus of around 6 million euros for the team and staff in case of winning the title, which shows the importance of this objective.

In parallel, the club's leaders have begun planning for the summer transfer window. Several names such as Manu Kone, Moussa Diaby and Curtis Jones remain in focus, although there are no official confirmations of concrete negotiations for these players yet.
