Simone Inzaghi's future is between Italy and Saudi Arabia. But while we await the summit in the coming hours with Inter's leaders to understand if there is room to move forward together, Arab sources are already certain of the coach's arrival at Al Hilal.
"Ariyadhiah", usually reliable when it comes to Arab sports news, left no doubt on Sunday evening:
" Simone Inzaghi has signed a two-year contract with Al Hilal. He will have a meeting with the club on Tuesday to plan the Club World Cup and the new season, next week he will officially start his work as coach, " the post published on X said.
No hope for Inter, then? Not exactly. If it is true that Al Hilal's proposal is real, concrete and very rich, Inzaghi's decision has not yet come. It is no coincidence that, a few hours later, "Ariyadhiah" deleted the post, also because it seems impossible that Inzaghi will meet Inter's management on Tuesday and on the same day begin planning with his new club. All this certainly does not cancel the possibility of the coach's farewell, in fact the chances are not that low given that the names of a possible replacement have already started to circulate.
The black and blue club have several names in mind as his successors. First on the list seems to be Cesc Fabregas, currently at Como, where he has done an excellent job relying on young names like Niko Paz, Asane Diao and Alex Vale.
Inter, meanwhile, is also considering other names. Italian media have mentioned coaches like Vieira, De Zerbi and Çivu. At the moment, Fabregas seems the "easiest".
