Argentine women's football is in a state of shock after 30-year-old footballer Florencia Guinazu was found murdered and it was later revealed that the crime was committed by her ex-boyfriend who then took his own life.

Florencia Guinazu, soccer player of Club Atlético Argentino (regional level), was killed in her home on Saturday, April 6, according to information reported by local media. The victim died of asphyxiation. She was the mother of a 7-year-old son and a 5-year-old daughter.

After committing the tragic act, Florencia Guinazu's ex-boyfriend left a note on the door explaining the crime.

" Call the police, the children are alone ", the killer wrote on the door of the house before killing himself. A message discovered by a neighbor, who raised the alarm and then the whole tragic scene was revealed.
