" For me, it's better 26 players, because some positions need three players on the field. Attack needs three players. It is important that all 26 are on the list ," says Italy coach Spalletti.
" I am for having 26 players, having more alternatives and being able to make changes in case of an injury during the match. They will tell us soon what the final decision is ," says Spain's coach, Luis de la Fuente.
The coach of Germany, Julian Nagelsman, is against it, as for him harmony in the team and the morale of the players are more important.
" The fact that some players out of 26 were sitting in the stands is not good. The ratio between happy and unhappy players is just not right ."
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, UEFA had allowed teams with 26 players instead of the usual 23 in previous major tournaments such as the 2022 World Cup.
