Fatos Nano, one of the most well-known figures in Albanian politics and the founder of the Socialist Party of Albania, passed away at noon today.
Nano had been suffering from serious health problems for some time, and in recent days his condition had deteriorated significantly, causing him difficulty breathing. The former prime minister passed away at the age of 73.
The president of the Albanian Football Federation, Armand Duka, has also reacted to the passing of the former prime minister of Albania. In a post on social media, Duka describes Nano as a gentleman, emphasizing that he "left too soon."
Armand Duka's reaction:
"Fatos Nano left this life as he always lived, with dignity and as a true gentleman.
He was a gentleman in every circumstance, both when he led the country as Prime Minister and when he was simply a citizen among us.
I will miss Tosi very much. Neither a friend, nor a politician, but above all as a person. Anyone who knew him closely knows that he was unique, special and irreplaceable.
"Rest in peace, Tos Nano. What a shame he left so early!", writes the Duke.
