Luka Modric has landed in Milan and was officially presented to the media today as the youngest player of the Rossoneri. At the presentation conference, he spoke about this challenge for the Rossoneri, not sparing even jokes about coach Massimiliano Allegri, whom he has faced as an opponent several times in his career during the years when he was part of Real.
One of Allegri's most bitter memories is the Champions League final that Juventus lost to Real Madrid, and the Croatian has said with great humor that he would avoid talking about that match.
" It's probably not a good memory for him, but I'll try not to talk too much about it (laughs). I don't want the coach to be angry with me. I'm looking forward to meeting him, I've spoken to him a little. I'm very happy to be coached by Allegri, he's among the best in the world, a winner. I'm looking forward to finding out how he sees me on the field in this team ," said Modric, speaking about the Rossoneri coach.
" We all know that Milan is one of the best teams in the world and we should never be complacent. The Champions League should be the minimum objective. But we must also be humble and work hard, which is also my goal.
"I like to win, I'm very competitive and I want to bring that spirit to the team. The minimum objective is to qualify for the Champions League, but Milan also has to fight for trophies, that's why I'm here. I know there are great expectations from me, but I'm happy and I can't wait to start this challenge ," concluded Modric.
