Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti gave an interview to France Football, where, among other things, he spoke about his relationships with Vinicius and Mbappe.
"Is Vinicius easy to train? Of course he is. I have a fantastic relationship with him, he does what I ask and I have never had any problems with him. When you train a national team, these problems don't happen that often. If a player is not happy with his role in the team, I call someone else. Now I no longer have the obligation that I had at a club to train a player for the whole season ," he said.
-How did it go with Mbappe?
Ancelotti: "In one year, Mbappe didn't ask me for anything, not to take penalties, to play, not to play, to take free kicks... He always behaved very well, with a lot of humility. He had a very high-level season, scoring 44 goals, but I think this second season will be even better because he has already adapted and his teammates know him well."
In which position do you see it best?
Ancelotti: "For me, Mbappe is a centre-forward. He is fast, technical, skilled and able to combine in tight spaces. That is why he should be close to the opponent's goal. He has the same qualities on the wing, but he would score less. In defence? It is not that he does not like defending, but simply a player with his characteristics is expected to score."
