The former captain of the Albanian national team, Lorik Cana, has spoken against the joint organization of the European championship for 21-year-olds, from Serbia and Albania. In an interview for 'Klan Kosova', he said that he has no faith in the Serbian factor, however he declares that the intentions of the president of the ALF, Duka, remain good.
"The Duke has an extraordinary merit for the development of the AFL and Albania. He is on the UEFA executive board. They have tremendous respect for Duka, Serbian football players have shown respect for us, most of them came to our defense, but their feelings are still not sincere. This is represented in every type of activity they do. I differ with them here.
I have defended the AFL and played for them, it represents a national symbol. I say things as I feel and as they are. I look at Serbia's point of view towards us differently at the moment. Armando Duka, desires are good, there are no bad, it is not the right way and the right moment to do something in common with them. In the future why not, happily, if things are on the right track.
Armand Duka still does not know who he is dealing with. I do not agree with his decision to organize the championship with Serbia. The first job, I myself have no faith in their sincerity in any kind of step they undertake with the Albanian factor, and when I say with the Albanian factor, it could be the Albanian Federation, the Federation of Kosovo.
I simply think that it is not the right way and time to do something common with them", said Cana in "Klan Kosova".
