For the first time since the opening of a judicial investigation into his alleged sexual assault, Ashraf Hakimi has spoken publicly. The PSG and Moroccan national team defender did so in an exclusive interview with "Clique", which will be broadcast in full tonight on "Canal+".
" The most false thing that was said about me? The rape of that girl. It was the hardest blow I have ever suffered, for me and for my family. My children are young and one day they will read what was written, to imagine how they find such accusations about their father, knowing that they are lies, it hurts ."
Hakimi recalled the moment he learned about the complaint: “ My lawyer told me. We knew it could happen. I am calm, I know who I am, I know I have done nothing and I never would. I asked to speak to the police and give my DNA. However, the accuser has not cooperated. Thanks to the work of the police, important information has come to light .”
The defender, sixth in the latest Ballon d'Or rankings, admitted that he has changed his circle of friends: " In football, we are exposed to many risks, including blackmail. After this incident, I have significantly narrowed my circle of trust ."
Finally, he attacked the press: " They have tarnished my name and dignity by speaking without knowing. I don't want anyone to be unjustly accused ."
