Famous Albanian manager paid 2.5 million euros, Italian prosecutor withdraws

The Milan Prosecutor's Office has made an official request to cancel the sentence against Albanian manager Fali Ramadani, against whom a court case had been opened on charges of tax evasion.

According to the news agency "ANSA", a trial had been opened accusing Ramadan of tax evasion for a figure of around 6 million euros, for the purchase and sale of footballers in Italian territory in the years 2018-2022, including Dusan Vlahovic, Federico Chiesa, Miralem Pjanic, Kalidou Koulibaly, Ivan Perisic or Ante Rebic.

The Guardia Di Finanza had charged Ramadan with tax evasion after failing to pay the income for the transfers in question, hypothesizing the existence of a "permanent organization in Italy" of Irish companies owned by him such as "Primus Sports Consultancy Ltd".

However, the prosecution during the investigation reviewed the documentation and explained that Ramadani was not aware of the violations and, as a result, there was no illegal action or damage on his part.

The prosecution had also admitted the fact, making it clear that Ramadani often operated on a telephone line outside Italian territory. Therefore, the case was requested to be dismissed and Ramadani fully pardoned.

The latter, meanwhile, has paid 2.5 million euros in tax obligations in Italy, and has opened a company in the Italian state, to avoid further problems with the law, in order to act calmly. Another of his associates, Mark Rautemberg, was also accused, and all charges are also expected to be dropped.
