Nazmi Selmani and his nephew Petrit Selmani, who were arrested for threatening the head of the FLF, Armand Dukes, were released from prison today.
Nazmi Selmani, the president of the Fushë Krujë Illyria team, at the same time a businessman, and his nephew Petri Selmani were the only ones who continued to stay in prison for threatening Duke, while his sons and Redian Loci were released in the preliminary trial.
Judge Paulin Cera decided today "compulsion to appear" for Nazmi Selmani and his nephew, Petrit.
The president of the Albanian Football Federation, Armand Duka, fell prey to a threat on August 31. Five people, among them the president of the Iliria i Fushë-Kruja team, Nazmi Selmani, sent threatening messages to the head of the AFL.
After receiving the threatening messages at around 21:30 on the evening of August 31, the perpetrators went to the Duke's apartment at around 22:30. This action forced the number one of the ALF to file a report with the police authorities, who immediately started work to locate and capture the perpetrators.
At the end of the investigations, the Police made it possible to handcuff five citizens; Redian Loci, Petrit Selmani, Brajan Selmani, Santiago Selmani and Nazmi Selmani, the latter president of the football club, Iliria.
The reason for the threat is suspected to be the publication of the national team's roster for the September matches, a list which seems not to have satisfied the expectations of the citizens in question.
This was not Selman's first conflict with important names in the management of the Rossoneri.
A few years ago, Selmani in a drunken state traveled to Tirana to rape Edi Rejan, when the latter was the coach of the Reds and Blacks.
