
Debates following the Champions League semi-final second leg between Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain continue to intensify, while international media report that UEFA has launched investigations regarding the refereeing of the match.
According to reports, immediately after the end of the meeting, an anonymous senior official addressed the office of UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin, requesting an urgent review of several controversial episodes of the match.
At the focus of the controversy are three decisions by Portuguese referee Joao Pinheiro, which according to the media are considered to have harmed Bayern Munich.
Reports have also raised questions about alleged contact between referee Pinheiro and Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi before the start of the match in Munich.
So far, UEFA has not officially reacted to the allegations, while it is expected that in the coming days there will be further developments on the issue that has caused widespread debate in European football.
