
The Europa League and the Conference League have concluded the second leg of their semi-final. In the Europa League, Aston Villa have qualified for the final, after overturning a 1-0 first-leg deficit and thrashing Nottingham Forest 4-0 in the second leg.
Ollie Watkins opened the scoring for the English side in the 36th minute. Emilio Buendia doubled the lead in the 58th minute. John McGinn sealed the qualification of Unai Emery's team with goals in the 77th and 80th minutes.
In the next match, Freiburg defeated Braga 3-1 and joins Aston Villa. Lukas Kybler opened the scoring in the 19th minute, while Johan Manzambi doubled the score for the Germans in the 41st minute.
In the 72nd minute, Kybler scored Freiburg's third goal and his double in the match. 7 minutes later, Pau Viktor narrowed the deficit for the Portuguese, but his goal was only a statistic, as the first match played in Portugal ended with Braga winning 2-1.
The final between Aston Villa and Braga will be played on May 20 in Istanbul.
There were no surprises in the Conference League. Crystal Palace defeated Shakhtar Donetsk 2-1 and are waiting for the ticket to the final. Pedro Henrique gave the English the advantage with his own goal in the 25th minute. In the 34th minute, Eguinaldo equalized for the Ukrainians, but his goal was only worth statistics.
