Egnatia has won the Albanian Cup for the second time in a row, as it defeated Kukës in the final.
The challenge in "Air Albania" ended 1-0 in favor of the team from Rrogozhina in a challenge very fought by both teams.
The goal which proved to be decisive in the fate of the challenge came in the 38th minute. Long action by Egnatia with Fangaj on the right, who followed in the center finding Ndreca with the latter who made no mistake by scoring in front of his former team.
In the second half, Kukësi looked more demanding, missing a good chance with Franci Lala, but they were unable to harass Sherri's goal. In the 79th minute, even with the help of VAR, Egnatia won a penalty for touching the ball with his hand in the area.
From 11 meters away, the Brazilian Fernando was stopped by Tafas who understood the wing, but in the end the North-Easterners did not manage to get the third trophy. Thus, Egnatia secures the second trophy in the Cup of Albania, as it will also play in the "Final 4" to try for the Super League trophy.
On the other hand, Kukësi does not manage to end the season with a trophy, as the new season will be part of the First Category.
