Who is Juljan Shehu, the surprise name who was called up for the first time to

Juljan Shehu was the surprise name on the national team list for the matches against England and Andorra.

The midfielder began his professional career with Kastrioti, where he scored 4 goals in 31 matches during the 2018-2019 season. After standing out there, he was transferred to Laçi where he stayed for 3 seasons, 2019-2022. Shehu played 98 matches and scored 9 goals during his three seasons with the Kurbinas. He formed the best trio of the Superiore 4 seasons ago together with Regi Lushkjan and Ardit Deliu.

In 2022, he moved to Poland to join Ujdzeu Lodz, where he played a total of 54 matches. The midfielder suffered an injury at the end of November 2024, during his second season with the Polish club, but has now returned to form and coach Silvinjo has decided to trust him. Shehu has also represented Albania U-21, playing 8 matches in 2019.
