The next women's World Cup giant slalom race took place today at the Swedish Are ski resort, where Lara Kolturi also competed. The red-and-white skier was classified in third place, climbing onto the podium.
This is the third podium of the season for the 18-year-old red and black skier, who after two second places secured a third today. Another excellent performance by Koltur, who once again honored the red and black flag this season.
" I must say that today was not an easy day, although in the first run I skied as I wanted. The conditions were very good, then unfortunately, as you may have seen, with the rising temperatures and the change of track, I am aware that in these conditions I encounter difficulties. However, I tried to do my best and I can say that I succeeded. Now I am focused on tomorrow's race and on to the finals ," said Lara Colturi, a skier from Albania.
After the first descent, Kolturi was classified in fourth place, giving a time of 57”04, while in the second descent she gave a time of 57”06. In total, she closed the race with an overall time of 1'54”10, gaining one position.
Lara Kolturi once again showed good form, competing with older skiers. The race was won by Federica Brinjone of Italy (1'52”67), while Alice Robinson of New Zealand came in second.
