Ylber Ramadani spoke to "TeleRama" after Lecce's 4-1 defeat to Atalanta. The midfielder is once again considered an undisputed starter for the Serie A club under the guidance of Eusebio Di Francesco.
Ramadani praised Lecce's play in the first 40 minutes, more specifically before the home team opened the scoring. He then spoke about the period when his departure was projected and his connection to Lecce.
" We played very well for 40 minutes against Atalanta. I thought we would be able to score at that moment. Instead, Atalanta scored and then the second goal sealed the match.
We don't have to play well for just 45 minutes, but 90. It's true that we conceded two goals, but I hope this is the last game in which we concede so many goals. We have to improve, there are new players and some debutants, so let's keep working.
The new names? They are really strong players. In my opinion, Sala, Stulić and Siebert played well, even though they are young.
"Last year I didn't play much. I thought I would have to leave, but I felt bad that I would leave this place because I am very happy at Lecce. The coach always says that this is my home. In the end, I worked well, the coach gives me confidence and that makes me feel good. Even Di Francesco told me that he thought I would leave, but he told me to train a lot because in football you never know what will happen, " said Ramadani.
