"Monika in the Marigona version... Monika, do you know who Marigona is?" These are the words that accompany the very meaningful video that Lorik Cana published on his personal Instagram.
In it, the historical captain of the Albanian national team, the record-breaking footballer with the red and black jersey, asks his Italian wife who Marigona is, who embroidered the red and black flag that was raised in Vlora on November 28, 1912 by Ismail Qemali, the day he entered history as the declaration of Independence of Albania.
A great national date that is celebrated every year since that day by all Albanians, wherever they are. Not only the action, but also Cana's approach is hit, because Monika Erkoli appears in the video in the Marigona version, embroidering the Albanian flag.
