Mohamed Salah has made serious allegations after Liverpool's 3-3 draw with Leeds, a match in which he was left on the bench by manager Arne Slott.
The Egyptian striker, who has been one of the club's most important players this decade, said he feels Liverpool are already looking to get rid of him.
" I am very, very disappointed. I have done so much for this club. Everyone has seen this over the years and especially last season. It is very clear that someone wants to put all the blame on me ."
Salah also issued the strongest statement of the evening, saying that his relationship with coach Slot has been "destroyed". " I have said many times before that I had a good relationship with the coach and suddenly we have no relationship anymore. I don't know why. It's not acceptable to me. I don't understand why it always happens to me ."
He added that he believes the English giant is not protecting him at all.
" I think if I were somewhere else, the club would protect their player. I don't know why I'm in this situation now, but the way I see it, it's like they're throwing the player out on the street because now he's the problem in the team. But I don't think I'm the problem ."
" I've done so much for this club that I get the respect I deserve. I don't need to fight every day for my place in the team, because I've earned it with work. People will say I'm not bigger than the club, I'm not bigger than anyone. I've just earned my place. That's football ."
The Egyptian also recalled his contribution to statistics.
" I can't believe this is happening. I'm at this club scoring more goals than anyone else in this generation. Since I came back to the Premier League, I don't think anyone has scored more goals or assisted more than me. If I was somewhere else, everyone would be in the media defending the player. I'm the only one who's not in this situation. I remember a period when Harry Kane wasn't scoring for about 10 games and then two goals. Everyone in the media was saying 'Harry will definitely score'. When it comes to Mo, he should sit on the bench. I had a meeting with the manager. He knows my feelings ."
In the end, Salah left open the possibility of leaving in the January window.
" I thought I would retire here and finish my career here, but that's no longer the plan ."
