The Italian Super Cup is underway in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. On Thursday, Napoli won 2-0 against Milan to secure their place in the final.

The challenge was not peaceful between the two respective camps, as there were also clashes. The protagonist was Max Allegri, the coach of Milan.

The clash with Gabriele Oriali

The spark was ignited in the 29th minute, when Rabiot made a tackle on Politano, and the Napoli winger ended up on the ground. The Blues bench rushed to ask for a red card, but referee Zufferli let the game continue without showing a yellow card (a measure he had previously used for a tackle by Hojlund on Maignan).

At this point, nerves were strained. Conte shouted "Enough!" to the Milan players, sparking a prolonged debate. The main protagonist of the verbal clash was Gabriele Oriali, the coach's right-hand man from Salento, who got involved in a duel with Allegri from a distance, which consisted of spicy comments from a distance.

At the final whistle, the distance became apparent. While Conte stayed on the pitch to celebrate the victory and shake hands with his opponents (including Marco Landucci, Allegri's assistant) and the Milan players, Massimiliano Allegri headed straight for the dressing room, without meeting his colleague or giving him the customary handshake. A nervous exit, born of the defeat and the tension accumulated over the 90 minutes.

However, in front of the microphones, both chose the diplomatic route, trying to quell the media fires. Allegri dismissed the incident with the classic phrase "It's a matter of the game", refusing to further fuel the controversy. Conte followed the same strategy, preferring to ignore the incident and focus on the result.

However, Napoli issued a harsh statement: "Allegri seriously offended Orial. The attack was out of control, there are 33 cameras in the stadium, it does not go unnoticed."

"SSC Napoli strongly condemns the behavior of the AC Milan coach," the statement said, detailing the incident: Allegri is suspected of "seriously insulting Gabriele Oriali with offensive and repeated terms," all "in the presence of dozens of people on the bench and live on television," Napoli's response said, among other things.
