Igli Tara's future at Milan looks increasingly uncertain. The red and black club's leaders are not entirely satisfied with the work of the former Albanian sports director during the last two transfer windows and are considering the possibility of his departure at the end of the season.
The news was made public by Italian journalist Nicolo Shira, who also revealed the name of the main candidate who could take Tara's place in Milan's management structure. It is Toni D'Amico, currently sporting director at Atalanta, known for his work at Verona.
However, before a final decision is made, Milan's leaders are expected to assess the situation of Tara, who joined the club in 2025 and has a contract valid until 2027.
During his time at the helm of the red and black transfer market, Milan have invested significantly in new signings. In the last two transfer windows, the club has brought in Christopher Nkunku, Ardon Jashari, Samuele Riçi, De Winter, Estupina, Atekame, Adrian Sise, who is expected to join the team in the summer, as well as Adrien Rabiot and Odogu.
For these transfers, Milan has spent around 165 million euros, while Luka Modric and Fulkrug have been approached on loan with zero parameters.
