The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, reacted after yesterday's match of the Albanian National Team against that of Spain.
Through a post on social networks, Kurti writes that the players of the national team made us proud.
He also writes that although it was the second time that Albania participated in a European championship, on the green field we looked like regular participants, while on the steps of the stadium as if we were locals.
"On the blue pitch we looked like regulars, outside and on the steps of the stadium as if we were locals. It was only our second participation in a European championship.
In the end we lost to Spain, three-time European champion and one-time World champion, and Italy, two-time European champion and reigning champion and four-time world champion. Meanwhile, we drew with Croatia, the runner-up of the World Cup in 2018, in the most beautiful match of the tournament so far.
This group of players did us proud. The future is promising. The expectations we had are only the strongest proof of the standard we have set," Kurti said.
