Julian Ahmataj is one of the names being floated to take over as Partizan manager. "Panorama Sport" reports that the Reds' management consider the Elbasan coach as an alternative to replace Oltijon Kërnajë on the bench.
Ahmataj ended his last engagement in January, when he ended his collaboration with the Albanian U-19 national team. Previously, he managed Tirana's youth teams, and then took over the management of the first white-and-blue team, where he was a part of during the period 2021-2024.

Born in Elbasan, Ahmataj has a strong connection to the capital's football, having spent a large part of his playing career with Tirana. He was also part of Partizan for a short period during his playing career.
Meanwhile, Partizan ended the season in the most negative way possible. The loss to Egnatias finally sealed their exit from the “Final Four”, leaving the team without a place in the European cups for the next season. The poor results are expected to bring significant changes to the club during the summer transfer window.
