The Confederation of African Football has issued its decisions following the incidents that occurred during the final of the 2025 AFCON (Africa Cup of Nations).
This final was won by Senegal, but there were incidents for which measures were taken by the disciplinary committees.
Punitive measures for Senegal:
– Pape Chau, coach of the Senegal national team: 5-match suspension from CAF competitions + personal fine of $100,000.
– Iliman Ndiaje: 2-match suspension
– Ismaïla Sarr: 2-match suspension
Meanwhile, the Senegalese Football Federation was fined $615,000.
Punitive measures for Morocco:
– Ashraf Hakimi: 1-match suspension
– Ismael Saibari: 3-match suspension
Meanwhile, the Moroccan Football Federation was fined $315,000.
These sanctions follow disciplinary reports drawn up after the final and mark an extremely tense post-AFCON period between the two national teams.
